- The 2009 and above vvt 5.7's have the 2x8 plugs, I have heard they are of lower quality plugs by design (that is another story). The platinum and other higher quality plugs will not work well with this design, as it does with the pre-2009 V8 and modern 3.6 V6. We just have to trust Chrysler on this, as it is not exactly a selling point.
The P0300 code means that a cylinder(s) is misfiring or is randomly misfiring. Start by checking for intake leaks, intake gaskets are common caused of multi-cylinder misfiring.
